Focus – Mission Statement

I am continuing my practice as a solo practitioner in order to focus full attention on resolving the concerns and problems of selected Clients rather than expand my practice and delegate responsibilities to others. Every Client is entitled to, and receives, my personal attention and best effort to reach a prompt and practical resolution of matters for reasonable fees.

My approach is pragmatic, intuitive and practical. If you retain me, you get me. If I need assistance I can utilize resources available at SynerG Law Group or from other professional colleagues selected based on their abilities and availabilities, unrelated to my personal profit and overhead considerations.

I avoid the tag of “specialist” as I avoid a narrow focus on problems and solutions – I respect the adage that “To a hammer, everything is a nail” and believe the “butterfly effect” is real – all actions have consequences which can only be anticipated through a broad based analysis and experience. If I form your business for you or develop a strategy to resolve your problems I will be considering all of the things I know can go wrong. If I’m litigating your tax or business or estate dispute, it’s with knowledge and experience of how businesses should work and how they do work.

As a matter of Professional Responsibility I respond to all legitimate inquiries and if I am unable to provide services you require I will try to identify for you others who may be able so to do.

Recent Results

Most recently, with assistance from a colleague at SynerG, I obtained an arbitration damages award in excess of $750,000 for a small regional sales and distribution organization against a national telecommunications distributor based on breach of contract.

TESTIMONIALS

“Jim combines vast experience with true proficiencies in trial practice and business-related financial and operational matters.”

“Through the years, Jim has bailed me out of numerous situations where, had it been someone with a lesser ability, my business could have suffered financially.

“The main thing Jim has going for him, beside intelligence and basic gut feeling for the law and how it works, is that he talks to clients on terms they can readily understand without having to take a crash course in the law.

“When working with Jim, intelligent decisions can be made that a client can feel good and confident making….”

In fact a substantial portion of my business has come from referrals by other attorneys with whom I previously practiced, and in some case personally represented, and other satisfied clients.
